Ouro Circularity has appointed Seth Heine, co-founder of ecoATM and Chairman of PrologMobile, to its Strategic Advisory Board. Heine brings more than 25 years of experience building and scaling businesses across electronics recycling, circularity, and technology platforms.
Heine joins Ouro at a time when businesses face growing challenges in documenting the responsible management, handling, and destruction of electronics and other materials. While companies invest considerable effort in managing their operations, what happens after materials leave their facilities can be harder to track, verify, and document.
He sees an opportunity to change that.
“I am excited to be working with the Ouro team to help bring their impressive platform to market,” said Heine. “I see myriad opportunities to help companies better document their materials management practices. My background building companies in this space for over 25 years will be helpful, particularly in leveraging platforms to accelerate the industry’s transition toward transparency and efficiency.”
As Chairman of PrologMobile, a data-as-a-service company serving the circular electronics industry, Heine has seen firsthand how technology platforms can improve visibility, reduce friction, and unlock efficiencies across complex supply chains. He believes the same principles can transform materials management—particularly for small and medium-sized businesses that need better tools without the cost and complexity traditionally associated with them.
Beyond his work building companies, Heine helped write early versions of the Responsible Recycling (R2) Standard, now one of the most widely adopted certification standards for electronics reuse and recycling. The standard establishes requirements for responsible electronics management, including data security, environmental practices, and downstream accountability.
That experience is particularly relevant to Ouro’s mission. As recyclers face growing expectations to demonstrate responsible handling and processing, Ouro is developing tools to capture and connect the operational evidence behind those processes, making it easier to document compliance, verify outcomes, and build trust with customers.
“What happens on the other side of the cut line deserves more attention,” Heine noted. “It should be far easier for businesses to document what happens to their materials and demonstrate that they are being managed properly. Done well, that can improve performance, reduce costs, and deliver tangible benefits to the business as well as the environment.”
Heine said Ouro’s team and platform were major factors in his decision to join the advisory board. The company combines an experienced entrepreneurial team with a broad, flexible platform designed to make materials management more accessible and easier to implement.
For Heine, the opportunity reflects a longstanding conviction: well-designed technology platforms can help industries solve persistent problems at scale. By making responsible materials management easier to document and verify, Ouro has the potential to help businesses operate more efficiently while advancing greater transparency across the materials lifecycle.
